Viogaz partakes in the biogas activities of Hivos. Through the social enterprise Viogaz, women in Central America are able to purchase a biodigester at a subsidized rate. The apparatus converts the waste produced by animals into energy for cooking and organic fertilizer for the fields. Not only benefitting in terms of economic gain, but also in time and health benefits.
